Hormone Balance
When evaluating hormone balance we are evaluating the endocrine system of the body. This is the delicate interaction of the following glands Pituitary, Pineal, Adrenals, Thyroid, Pancreas, and sex organs (Uterus and Ovaries for Women, Testes and Prostate for Men).
Hormones affect every cell in the body therefore they are at the root of any problem. Mood disorders, sleep difficulties, fatigue, weight gain, and immune problems can all be caused by hormone imbalances.
What Causes Hormone Imbalance
The greatest contributor to hormone imbalances relates to management of cortisol and insulin. Cortisol production is mainly driven from stress and insulin is driven from blood sugar stability. The following are often causes of Hormone Imbalances:
- A diet high in refined carbohydrates and caffeine
- Emotional Stress
- Pushing yourself too hard at work
- Exercising too hard/overtraining
- Lack of sleep
- Poor Detoxification
- Immune dysfunctions
- Allergies
How I Can Help You
If you are suffering from constant fatigue, have difficulty losing weight or experience mood disorders- it could be a function of hormone imbalance. Many people suffer from functional hormone imbalances that never get diagnosed or treated because their lab tests do not indicate that there is a problem. My treatment system includes an in-depth analysis of the endocrine system, in addition to identifying the possible solutions for hormone imbalances.
